Recraft launches a guided Logo Maker beta
Recraft introduced Logo Maker on November 2, a public beta for desktop and mobile web. It replaces an open-ended design prompt with a business brief and a choice of visual directions.

From a business brief to a file
Users supply a name, description, logo type and brand traits, then choose a curated style or upload references. Recraft selects a model suited to each direction. Users can recolor a concept, request variations, switch styles or regenerate the set. Packaging, clothing and storefront mockups cost no additional generation credits. The workflow ends with an SVG download, outside the broader Studio canvas.
A different route from Studio
Vector editing was already available in Recraft Studio. Its July 23 update let users double-click a shape to move anchor points, adjust curves, recolor individual shapes and refine paths on the canvas. Elements could also be duplicated across frames before export. Those controls work on the individual elements of a vector image, giving designers a route to changing a particular curve or shape instead of generating another complete concept.
Commercial rights depend on the plan
Recraft’s October 21 terms distinguish generated assets by subscription tier. Free-tier creations remain owned by Recraft and carry a personal-use license. They cannot be sold, licensed or transferred. Paid subscribers own the assets they create, with Recraft assigning whatever copyright rights it holds, subject to the terms and applicable law. Both tiers prohibit using outputs to train AI models. Brand references introduce a separate obligation: users must hold the necessary rights and consents for references to another company’s marks or design system and remain responsible for resulting infringement or consumer confusion. A file download and commercial permission are separate parts of the purchase.
Reference images enter an account workflow
The privacy policy, modified October 20 and effective for existing accounts on November 3, covers uploaded images and other reference material. Files are stored in the account for reuse, subject to its retention provisions. The policy also covers answers entered on acquisition or landing pages, together with an email address. Prompts and related context are processed by Recraft and the AI providers supporting the requested feature. Recraft distinguishes its own model training from processing by outside providers: users can opt out of training its proprietary models in account settings. Content submitted through the API or a Group Workspace is excluded from that training without requiring an opt-out. The policy also says external image, video, chat and voice providers operate under contractual restrictions against training on customer inputs and outputs. These are service-wide rules, rather than features introduced by the logo beta.
